Terms of use
Effective from 4 October 2026
1. Who provides Mega Dashboard
Mega Dashboard is developed and provided by Harry Asar under the HomeNetcloud.eu brand (“we”), Bulgaria.
- Website: mega-dashboard.eu
- Contact: GitHub Discussions
- Bugs and ideas: GitHub Issues
2. What these terms cover
These terms cover the website mega-dashboard.eu, the app store apps.mega-dashboard.eu, the app images on images.mega-dashboard.eu, the Mega Dashboard app for Home Assistant and the dashboard it creates (together, “Mega Dashboard”). By installing or using Mega Dashboard you accept these terms. If you don't agree, don't install it, or remove it.
3. Free right to use
We give you a free, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to install and use Mega Dashboard in your own Home Assistant installations — at home or in your business, on as many devices as you like.
Mega Dashboard is not open-source software. All rights in the code, design, texts, icons and pictures are reserved. You may not:
- sell, rent, redistribute or publish the app, its code or parts of it;
- offer it as your own service or product, or build it into your own product;
- remove or change the authorship notices;
- decompile or disassemble the code, except where the law expressly allows it (for example, for interoperability).
The dashboards you make with Mega Dashboard are yours — you can use, change and keep them freely.
The add-ons the app installs (button-card, layout-card, card-mod, kiosk-mode, mini-graph-card, advanced-camera-card) are open source and their own licences apply.
4. Donations (“Buy me a coffee”)
Mega Dashboard is free. “Buy me a coffee” is a voluntary gift through Buy Me a Coffee — it doesn't buy a product or service and gives no extra rights or support. Payments are handled by Buy Me a Coffee under their terms. If you donated by mistake, get in touch.
5. Safety and your responsibility
The dashboard controls real devices — lights, air conditioners, blinds, doors, gates, locks and alarms. So:
- you are responsible for the settings, the automations and who has access to Home Assistant and the dashboard;
- don't use Mega Dashboard as the only safeguard for people, property or health (for example fire alarms, security or medical devices);
- back up Home Assistant before updating. Mega Dashboard keeps a history of dashboard saves, but it is not a replacement for a backup.
6. The AI assistant
The assistant is optional. It connects through Home Assistant's official integrations to a provider you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Ollama), with your own key. You pay the provider directly and their terms apply. AI answers can be wrong — check them before you rely on them. Actions such as opening gates or unlocking ask for confirmation.
7. Third-party services and trademarks
Mega Dashboard works with third-party services — Home Assistant, GitHub, Cloudflare, Buy Me a Coffee and the AI providers. Their own terms apply and we are not responsible for how they work.
Home Assistant is a trademark of the Open Home Foundation. Mega Dashboard is not affiliated with, endorsed or supported by Home Assistant, the Open Home Foundation or Nabu Casa. Other names and marks belong to their owners.
8. No warranty
Mega Dashboard is free and provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to make it work well, but we don't guarantee that it is free of bugs, works with every device or Home Assistant version, or is available without interruption. We may change, pause or discontinue parts of it. This doesn't affect the rights the law gives you as a consumer that cannot be waived.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost data, lost profits, or damage caused by devices, automations, settings or third-party services. This doesn't limit our liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to life and health, or under mandatory consumer protection rules.
10. Updates
New versions come through the app store. Home Assistant offers them to you and you decide when to update. With Docker (Home Assistant Container or Core) you update yourself by pulling the new image. The changes in each version are listed in the changelog. We may stop supporting old versions.
11. Ideas and feedback
If you send us an idea or feedback, we may use it to improve Mega Dashboard without any obligation to you. If you write on GitHub, your text is public.
12. Stopping use
You can stop using Mega Dashboard at any time by removing the app. Dashboards you saved stay in Home Assistant. Your right to use it ends automatically if you break these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and we'll mention significant changes on the website or in the changelog. If you keep using Mega Dashboard after a change, you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
Bulgarian law applies. We'll try to sort out any issue by talking — get in touch. If that fails, the competent Bulgarian court decides. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
15. Languages
These terms are in Bulgarian and English. If they differ, the Bulgarian text prevails.
